CRM Hype/Reminders Workflow Overview + Instructions - START HERE!
Now that you have the content for your pre-session workflow, you want it to be AUTOMATICALLY sent to your clients so that YOU don’t have to do it manually. That is what I love about a CRM- automation, automation, automation. When copy/pasting these emails, make sure you update the links so that they go to YOU and not me - I've marked that information in red to make it easier to spot (but proofread carefully anyways!). And of course make sure you change the red to black after you change the content. You’ll also want to set up your Brand Signature so that you have a consistent signature for all emails automatically and you won’t have to type it in over and over.
The triggers are what I use personally, but keep in mind that my business is likely much different than yours. I find that constant contact with booked clients keeps them engaged and excited for their shoot, which is why I send out so much content to my booked clients. I typically book 9-12 months in advance, so I have a lot of time to spread these emails out.
If you only book a few weeks or a few months in advance, your triggers might look much different. Or you may choose to send two items at once, for instance sending both the HMU Do’s/Don’ts email in conjunction with a session reminder email.
My best advice would be to sit with a pen and paper and map out all the content you want to send, and then dictate when it should be sent for best results. And don’t be afraid to tinker with dates if you get feedback from clients that they are getting emails too frequently. I don’t send my clients more than 1 email a week, so if you don’t have enough time for all of this content, condensing into fewer emails might be a great idea!
If you are pairing this with other portions (or all) of the workflow, perhaps printing out each email and laying out on the floor to find the best, most sensible workflow would be a great way to work it all out.
